2016 looks set to be another deadly battle in the compact SUV market as Renault enter the fray with their Kadjar, Kia unleash their new Sportage and then there's this, in our opinion, the most handsome of the lot – Hyundai's new Tucson. A lot of you seem to agree as it is now Ireland's top-selling car, after levels of unprecedented demand saw it account for one in every 16 new sales this January. Replacing the ix35, it has made improvements on all the things that made it great in the first place – the generous equipment levels, the comfort, the space, and will still be topped off by that outstanding five-year, no-mileage-limit warranty. The materials used in the cabin are better quality than before, giving it a more premium feel. A good choice of fuel efficient engines finishes off an altogether fine package that seems to have done the unthinkable and stripped the mighty Qashqai of its crown as King of the Crossovers.
